Remisen, the game venue. In addition to the (small) Warhammer 40K event, there was a large Warhammer Fantasy tournament, as well as the danish Magic The Gathering championship.

Team Snakeeyes examines the nicely prepared tables and scenarios.

Day 1 - Game 1

My first game was against Blood Angels; The mission was Best of Three, which requires the capture of three counters on the center line.

The game ended 20-0 in my favor; The primary objective was safe, and the secondary objective was secured when the Blood Angels whirlwind was luckily immobilized when it tried to escape from the Carnifex looming next to the terrain it was covering in.

Day 1 - Game 2

In the second game I played against Bjørns Eldar in Death by Moonlight, which is a very nasty mission for an attacking Tyranid with nothing much in the way of fast movement. It was a fun mission, but it still ended badly, 0-20 in Bjørns favor.

On the GF 11 pictures page, there's a picture of yours truly (first picture under Saturday), still smiling because I don't know what I'm about to run into!

Day 1- Game 3

Third game, agains Orks, playing Rescue.

Fortunately, Orks are susceptible to massed Tyranid shooting - the Devourer warriors and gaunts mowed down boyz like grass.

The most dramatic fight in the game was the 6 Mega-armoured Nobz and the likewise Mega-armoured Warboss that charged my heavy assault Carnifex. It killed four(!), whereupon the remaining three power klaw armed Orks cut it to pieces. This left them in the open right in front of three Zoanthropes who proceeded to pop one each, in a single round of shooting - easily the best shooting my Zoanthropes have ever delivered.

Unfortunately, the Zoanthrope that was carrying the objective was shot in turn six (failing one of the two 2+ saves it was taking! argh!), so I only drew the primary mission but I did win the secondary mission, for a 13-7 score.

Day 2 - Game 4

The fourth game was against an armoured company of the Imperial Guard - no less than 5 chimeras, backed up by a Demolisher Leman Russ and two Basilisks - eight armoured vehicles! We played The Riggers.

In round 4 I had rigged all four objectives, but the Guards' counterattack was very successful, even cinematic - the Guards' command squad, driving all out through the Tyranid lines, scattering gaunts left and right, multiple heavy Venom Cannon shards shaking the hull, Tyranid Warriors scratching in vain at the hatches, then finally un-rigging the vital objective on the last turn, just before they drowned in swarm of Rippers.

I barely managed to scrape in a draw on the secondary mission, for a 4-16 points split.

Day 2 - Game 5

The final game, playing The Riggers again against a Khorne-dominated Chaos Space Marine army, was over quickly, mostly due to my opponents amazingly bad saving throw rolling - the chaos power armour seemed made of tissue paper. Best example: My Hive Tyrant Venom cannon fires three shots at a three-strong squad of Obliterators, hits all three and wounds all three. My opponent proceeds to fail all three 2+ saves, losing all three Obliterators to a single Tyrant volley! This game also saw the simultaneous charge of two carnifexes against two different vehicles, a Rhino and a Land Raider - both took six or more penetrating hits, going up in their separate fireballs.

By the end of turn three, the only chaos forces left were a Rhino, a Defiler, and a deep-striking Terminator command squad that still hadn't shown up from reserve. At this point, he conceded, for 20-0 points.
