the
Blood Bowl League and Tournament for
Club Snake Eyes, 2009
Rules - Scoreboard
Coaches can enter their teams any time before April 1. Join by
sending a mail to sdahl@get2net.dk.
Playoffs begin on February 1.
Teams start with a treasury of 1.000.000 gold pieces and may buy a
team as described in the rulebook, p17.
In the course of the playoffs, each team may play each other league
team twice - once as the Home team, and once as the Visitor team. The
Home team has a +2 bonus to their Fan Factor for the game and becomes
the receiving team and the
Visitor team is automatically the kicking
team. When two teams meet the first time, roll dice to see
who is Home team and who is Visitor team the first game. For the
second game, swap roles.
Teams score 10 points for a win, 3 point for a draw, and 1 point for
each touchdown scored.
At the end of the season (August 31.) the 4 highest-scoring teams
are matched for the Semi-finals: the team ranked first plays the team
ranked fourth, and the teams ranked second and third plays each
other. The winner of each semi-final then play the Finals, and
the winner of the Finals win the Tournament. In the semi-finals, games
cannot end in a draw. If the score is even at the end of the
second half, the game goes into Sudden Death - continue
playing until either player scores the tie-breaking touchdown. If
the game ends drawn without either player being able to score, roll a
dice.
Tied ranking is resolved by comparing team ratings.
The League rules for Injuries, Star Player
points, Pre-match and Post-match sequences as
described in the rulebook (p38-) are used.
Teams must present the results, including team changes of any kind,
after the match to the referee in writing or by email. The
referee will then update the Score board as soon as possible. The
referee will use a Team Roster like this
to keep track of each team; Coaches are strongly encouraged to keep
track of their team statistics too.
Sporting players will not refuse a challenge to play; The Challenges
rule from the rulebook, p47, is used to prevent this. Challenged
coaches have one week in which to respond, and if accepting the
challenge must play the challenger within 1 week of the acceptance.
We're using this version (4th
Edition) of the Living Rulebook, in case of disputes.
Apart from the Undying Glory of winning the very first Club Snake
Eyes Blood Bowl Tournament, I'll also present a Games Workshop
Cheerleader figure (unpainted) to the winning team :)
