2007-01-29

On board The Emperors Fist, with all scanners trained on alien positions on the ground, the sudden emergence from Tanith Deep Space of another Tyranid Vanguard fleet comes as a complete surprise. The previous months of fighting have eliminated many deep-space sensor arrays, and the Tyranid Bio-ships are able to enter into torpedo range before the alarm is raised on the Fists of Wrath flotilla in Palatinate of Narn orbit. Soon, boarding torpedoes are crashing into the battle barge and its escort cruisers, disgorging their deadly payload of Genestealers.
The Requests from the Seer Council on Ulthwé craftworld becomes increasingly strident, warning Farseer Ulthran that unless he gets his Battleforce to the Processing Plants on Halsem very soon, another battleforce will be dispatched to do the job.

Eldar target for the week: Processing Plants.

The Fists of Wrath force in Hofir Orbit powers up and prepares to leave the system, heading for Hiruscant Deep Space.

2007-02-01

The battle for Eacus draws out; Initial fighting for the circle wall was inconclusive.
An Eldar Warhost - Eliath's Strike Force - are commisioned on Ulthwé Craftworld to carry out the Councils wishes with more respect and promptness than has so far been displayed by farseer Ulthran.
The Tau siege of the Leo Albus deep resources (Pollux Mine and Castor Mine) concludes bloodlessly, when the defenders surrender and assimilation into the New Tau Colony of Leo Albus. Colonel Smythe of the Rock Lions state: "The Greater Good is really, you know, good, and all. Now, where is that food you promised us?"

The Ultramarines lift off from Karnak Ridge, taking stations in Moloch Orbit.

2007-02-03

The Ultramarine Hiruscant Relief Force lands in Venk Plain, retaking the vital railway terminus, and immediately launches a surprise attack on the Tyranids swarming around the husk of Hive Menos. The Aliens try to return to the cover of the ruins, but the lightening speed of the attackers frequently catches groups of Tyranids in ambush on their way home.

2007-02-05

An Emissary from the provisional Count-Regent of the southern continent reaches the Eldar positions in Eacus, and offers to discuss terms of truce. The Emissary hints that an ancient Eldar artifact in the possession of the new Count could be returned. The farseer Ulthran is intrigued, but decides to bring his warhost with him, to negotiate from a position of strength. Now, if he could only shake off these pesky bugs...

2007-02-09

The Tyranid assault continues over the northern hemisphere, with a new wave making a fast pass through Palatinate of Narn orbit and landing in the ruins of Rhadamant.
Over Eacus, several Eldar cruisers appear (taking advantage of the brief lull in the orbital fighting) and load up the beleaguered Sword of Ulthwé warhost. Despite farseer Ulthran's insistence that he is returned to fight on the planet, the fleet admiral is under strict orders to bring him back to the craftworld for "consultation" with the Seer Council. Fuming, the farseer is forced to watch helplessly from the viewport as the planet is lost in the blackness of space.
The Eldar fleet, finding no resistance in Palatinate of Narn orbit, also drops off Eliath's Strike force in the High Valleys of Peredra, with strict orders to locate and secure the artifact that the new Count claimed to possess.

2007-02-10

The Ultramarine 3rd Company, observing the Eldar activity in low planet orbit, makes a rushed attack on the Alien fleet. They are too late to prevent the Eldar fleet from leaving the system, but Eliath's Strike Force in the High Valleys of Peredra is a good secondary target. Soon, Drop pods and Thunderhawks are screaming through the atmosphere over the southern continent, and battle is joined.

Farseer Eliath is ordered by the Seer Council to create the long-overdue diversion on Halsem, specifically in the Silverfields area, once the current distraction is handled.

Eldar target for the week: Silverfields.

The Tyranid forces sweeping up from the ruins of Rhadamant reach Excelsior Field, launching an attack on the Fists of Wrath 4th Company which was conducting cleanup operations in the area.

After the Hammer of Justice's retreat from the moon of Leo Albus, the Tau waste no time in reconstructing their defenses in the Vacuum Tunnel.

Increasingly strident demands from the Seer Council to create the diversion on Halsem are roundly ignored by Farseer Eliath, who is busy fighting for his life against the Ultramarines in the High Valleys of Peredra.

Another Tau force arrive, strengthening the positions on Leo Albus' Vacuum Tunnel.

2007-02-22

The Ultramarine Narn Expeditionary Force makes a lightening sweep of The Downs, routing the Eldar holdouts in the hills there, immediately continuing to the ruins of Excelsior Field to back up the Fists of Wrath 4th company who is fighting the Tyranids there.
Farseer Ulthran manages to wiggle out of Craftworld politics, re-assemble his warhost, and head out into the Webways.

2007-02-24

The Sword of Ulthwé warhost emerge from the webways through the only functional portal in the Hiruscant sector, on Halsem, in Silverfields.

2007-02-25

The panic ensuing panic in Hiruscant system after the Eldar emergence on Halsem (where they believed they were well free of aliens) makes it possible for an Ulthwé commando force to land and reach the monolith in South Valdor, and do something to it. The raiders are quickly driven off, as the system defenses come under control again, but the Monolith has turned mottled grey, and is starting to flake...
