The Tyranid boarding spore had done little harm to the outer
hull of the Kass'l class gunship S'nail, but its deadly cargo of
Genestealers had already vanished in the ships labyrinthine airducts
and hallways by the time the crew reached the breach site.

The path to the ships drive core controls was long and twisted, and
automatic defense drones (under the command of a suited shas'ui) were
patrolling it throghout its length.
The Genestealers, once they were close to their objectives, relied
on their usual tactics: Inhuman speed and local numerical superiority
to overwhelm their enemies before they even became aware of their
presence. The first drone squad was attacked and annihilated
before it knew wht hit it, and the second squad (including the shas'ui)
was close enough to be inveigled in a close combat before they managed
to fire themselves. They did manage to sound the alarm, though, a
feat not matched by the first three, and the shas'ui fought
heroically,surviving a round of combat.
The third and fourth brute squads became aware at enough range to
actually get off a few shots, but their fire was erratic and they only
succeeded in felling one of the 'Stealers each.

The bulkhead doors, fog dispensers, and other obstacles placed in
the way of the onrushing horde proved to be of little utility.
The nimble Genestealers clambered over everything, including each
other, in their mad rush towards the objective.
The 'Stealers stumbled in a long straight passage near their target,
and the defenders managed to get a few shots off, but their shooting
was terrible and not a single shot hit.
In the control core, two drone squads were all that stood between
the eight Genestealers and victory. There was a flurry of claws,
some clanging of metal striking metal as drones and parts of drones
struck the hullmetal, and then it was all over.
The Drive control in ruins, the Kass'l S'nail drifted
helplessly, as a cloud of mycetic spores drifted past it, directly
towards the once so rich and peaceful fields of New Oklahoma. Such
hopes they had had, for this world - now ruined by the degenerate
Gue'la, and even the ashes set to be consumed by the horrible alien
Tyranid. The Tau air caste commander could only watch and hope
that the last of the evacuation vessels had cleared the atmosphere
before the monstrous planetfall.

The long, winding corridor terrain practically guarantees that the
mission is resolved as a series of short, close-quarter battles.
The Kill-Team attacker generally likes the dispatch the enemy piecemeal
where the Kill-team quality can trump the Brute quantity, and
Genestealers of course likes the close-quarters part. So, with
the terrain set the way it was, I doubt the game could have ended any
other way (bar hostile dice, of course, and they were fairly neutral
throughout the game).
